KAMS is a family oriented club with emphasis on camaraderie, friendliness and safety.
The club facilities include a canteen, shelters, under-cover holding areas for models, sheds, and clean toilets.
Every third Wednesday of the month we have club meeting in the RAAFA administration building at Bull Creek, across from the Airforce Museum. Meetings start 8 p.m. Visitors are always welcome.
If you have a plane and are already a member of AWA/MAAA then you can come and introduce yourself to an instructor or committee member, show your credentials, get the club member to sign you into the visitors' book as a guest, and fly with us while you check out our club.
If you have no credentials, then you must first introduce yourself to one of the club's instructors and have him/her attend while you are flying.
However, it is at the club's discretion to let you fly at the field as non-member.
If you are new to the hobby and have a model, then bring it down to the field and introduce yourself. One of our qualified instructors will check it for airworthiness, and if satisfied, fly it with you so you can enjoy seeing your plane up in the air.
If you haven't a plane already we can offer advice on the basic equipment a beginner needs, and also what is involved when learning to fly a model. More information under Instruction.
All our instructors are certified by AWA/MAAA, so you are covered by their insurance.
This insurance does NOT, however, include damage to your plane or equipment.
The instructors are providing their services for free, and they take all precautions to make your flights safe and enjoyable, but they do not accept any financial responsibility for mishaps or accidents.

We look forward to meeting you down at the field!
